MEDINA. Dieser Stadtteil wurde1126-1127 von der Almoravida Regierung errichtet. Mit dem Sturz der Dinastie im Jahre 1147 wurden die meisten Monumente zerstört. Zwischen 1147 und 1158 liess Abd el Mumen über den Ruinen der Almoravida die Moschee Kutubia erbauen deren 77 Meter hohe Minarette das Symbol der Stadt geworden sind. Wenn Sie das Viertel betreten werden Sie von einem mittelalterlichem Ambiente umgeben sein mit einem unterschiedlichem Rythmus und einem aufregendem Gemisch an Gerüchen der Waren und Geräuschen der Schmiede, Schreiner und Händler.

Mancavano lavatrice ed asciugacapelli che erano segnalati sul sito,ed un pò di pulizia in più.

- Very spacious apartment, with a great large rooftop terrace. It has tables and lounge chairs, really lovely for breakfast on sunny days. - The location is right in the Medina (the historic centre), which makes it very convenient to go to the main square and the souks (Market stalls). - Contact person responds quickly by email and will offer an airport transfer as well, which was very convenient. Do fresh up on your French a bit, as the contact person speaks very limited English. - In front of the apartment there is a small supermarket, and on the corner there is a fruit and vegetable market. - Very close to the apartment is the "Kosybar", a nice bar/restaurant with a lovely roofterrace. Turn right on the alley close/before the Tajine restaurant, onto the square, and then it's the 4th or 5th place on the left.
- Kitchen could do with basic cleaning products, as well as at least one roll of toilet paper (we brought tissues and 2 tea-towels ourselves after reading previous reviews, which turned out to be helpful). - This is not a complaint but simply to make you aware: Being in the middle of the medina does mean that you are also in the middle of the hecticness of the medina (a lot of taxis and scooters). You can hear some traffic noise from the bedrooms so I'd recommend sensitive sleepers to bring some earplugs. You can also smell the congestion of the street a bit from the balcony room. - Also, I'm not entirely sure whether this was due to the apartment, but my boyfriend and I both had some very itchy bites on our skin which we think came from flees or bed bugs (they certainly weren't mosquito bites). We think it may have been one of the sofas that we sat on one night, but can't be entirely sure (we didn't touch any cats or horses when we were there though).

Close to the main interesting places to see, clean, well equipped with very confortable beds. There were shops and markets local to the apartment so it was easy to get groceries. The apartment has a great terrace with a beautiful sight of Atlas. Contact people really kind.
A bit noisy due to the fact to be along an important road in the old city. Presently there are house works and during our stay a wall was broken causing troubles in one of our two bedrooms. One of the two showers was out of working with no hot water.

Perfect and big apartment with good beds. Central located, short walk to the souks. Transport from and to the airport was taken care of and the landlord was very kind and helpful. The kitchen is simple equipped, but you don't need anything: lots of nice places to eat nearby.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Latifa. It was very centrally located to the main square and amenities. There were shops and markets local to the apartment so it was easy to get groceries. Transport to and from the apartment was booked which made life really simple. The contact and landlord were very pleasant. The apartment was of a good size and comfortable. Good basic equipment for cooking and washing. Felt safe at the apartment.

Tolles Apartment in Superlage im Herzen der Medina. Schoen eingerichtet. Wohnebene sehr grosszuegig mit 2 Duschbaedern mit WC und viel Platz. Das Beste: die sehr grosse Dachterasse mit eigenem Duschbad/WC und Liegen, Tischen, Stuehlen etc.
Obwohl ideal zum chillen auf der Terasse, 2 Bemerkungen: Die Leuchtmittel der (vielen) Lampen sollten mal erneuert werden. Zuviel Ausfall! Die (steile) Treppe zur Dachterasse ist gewoehnungsbeduerftig.
